Fences Up!

Signs that construction is near.....fencing is being put up around the construction areas and orange netting is going around the trees to be protected. It is so weird walking around where the old vacant temp buildings are, like being in a ghost town.

This pic from August is the breezeway between our old Mind Masters room and the Kindergarten/1st grade building. Before....

...and after!

The trees in the NE corner of the East Field will be spared. When construction is done, this is where the front offices of the school will be.

The pine trees in the front of the school will also be spared from the wrath of construction!

While getting pics of the fencing, I couldn't resist one last photo of the ramp going into the old science lab.

Awwww! Feelin' nostalgic!

Also, while walking around...ever wondered what was under those gross old temp buildings? Well, part of the metal skirt had been taken off one of them so I got a look. Ewwwww....

Gross!!!
The buildings are slated for removal this Monday the 16th so stay tuned for pics of that!

This pic was taken back in August when they were moving the big kid's playground. Note all the hibiscus plants lining the space by the sidewalk...

No more plants. I think they were relocated....where to, I'm not sure...maybe to the compost heap in the garden? :)

This fencing here spells the end of our parking lot for the next 2 years. We now have to park on the surrounding streets.

The little holes are for the kids to be able to see through to the construction. Cute idea!
