The beginning of the end!

Back in November 2007, Houston voters passed HISD's $805 million bond proposal by the very narrow margin of 51% to 49%. Lucky for us at Herod, we were one of the lucky ones to get money for a new school. Our building is over 40 years old. Granted, that is practically new compared to some of the buildings I have seen around the world, but Herod is falling apart around us...the A/C is always either broken or leaking, wasps keep getting into both my Mind Masters and Science Lab classrooms through gaps in the walls by the A/C units, ceiling tiles are moldy, the plumbing is antique...need I go on? For anyone who is not familiar with the layout of our school, here's a birds-eye view with some of the different spots pointed out. My 2 rooms are the science lab and Mind Masters rooms.
